Since this show now has a special place in my heart because its where I started here at Disney, I thought I'd share this blog entry about the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! I did not know this until today, but today August 25th is actually the anniversary of this show residing in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Check out this video along with the link, you can see bits of the performers that I get to work with as well as some pretty neat backstage stuff!!

I ate at the TREX restaurant tonight and it was a blast!! The atmosphere and food were amazing and there was an adorable little girl that I got to play peek-a-boo with!! Night=MADE!

Coba- The Power of the Imagination!!

So yet again I have realized that I have neglected this blog, I'm gonna seriously try a new tactic of writing at least once a week (we'll see how it goes) ;)
So...where to begin with everything...
I honestly can't give you an update with park adventures, I haven't been to the parks in weeks!! Its a serious issue that I plan to solve soon. Actually, this Saturday both I and roomie Christine will be off so hopefully its off to the parks for us!! I would love to go back to Magic Kingdom, the season is slowly starting to fade and the crowds are thinning out too. One of the rides that has been closed since before I got here is the Enchanted Tiki Room and it just reopened after months of refurbishment, so I plan on checking that out soon! Oh also, I finally started pin collecting. I plan on getting at least one new pin every time I visit a park from now on to continue building. These pins I don't plan on trading, just to have.
More exciting things about the parks: the planning for the holiday decorations has already begun! Crazy how fast time moves around here, from all the stories I've heard and pictures I've seen, the excitement is definitely mounting and to further my excitement, Food and Wine Festival will soon be starting at Epcot. This just proves even further that Jordyn and I came at the best time of year!!
So now on to work stuff: last I blogged, I talked about my training at JTA well I have since become quite comfortable with that show, it was really upsetting though because recently one of the performers left to go back home; he was a college program student as well as me, but his program just ended. He had a little going away party and a decent group of JTA peeps showed up to wish him off. He's suppose to be back for the holidays so I'm excited to see him soon! Before he left I got to get some pictures with him and my favorite JTA cast...it was so much fun!!
I've also started at another location (surprise surprise) at Fantasmic!! The big finale show at Hollywood Studios. The show is all about the "Power of the Imagination" and in the end, Mickey saves the day! The cast is huge and there are quite a lot of favorite Disney characters: Mickey, the princesses and their princes, the dwarfs, Lilo and Stitch, Donald, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Rafiki, the Chipmunks, Pinocchio, Geppetto, Baloo, and even some of Disney's beloved Villians! The backstage area of the show is a whirlwind and so many different things are going on at the same time. So far I've enjoyed working the show the highlight by far is getting to ride on this massive steamboat at the end of the show driven by (who else) but Steamboat Mickey!!
So now that we are in August, the Fall program starts for the College Program meaning that a brand new set of faces will be/have been joining the ranks of those that got here in May/June (like myself) so I'm excited to see who all will be fellow costumers and I'm also curios to see how that will affect my schedule as well ;)
Oh so also here's some non-Disney related news: Jordyn and I finally made a visit to the mall and shopped for the first time at H&M. In a word, fantastic store! One its a lot bigger then I ever anticipated it to be (it had two levels) and two-four: the amount, quality, and price of the clothes that they sell is really quite impressive. Sad to say, I've found a place for my paycheck (wink wink)
The rain, of course, has continued here and its really funny to hear the locals talk about the weather. It'll go a day without rain and immediately the conversation becomes of how much rain they need. My thoughts quickly jump to Texas of course, maybe I can send some that way...
Its finally starting to sink in that I've finished school...all I see is back to school stuff flying around me and it became a quick realization that this will be the very first time since Kinder that I will not be in school. Its interesting and a little weird; really makes me realize just how much I really do enjoy being a student and how much I'm starting to miss everyone.
Well haha sorry for the novel, but that's about all for now!! :)
